Ohoka Entertainer

Set in rural Ohoka, this became a journey with my clients to create a soft oriental mood for their new home. Organic and tactile soft finishes were chosen for wallpapers and drapery which could be changed later easily, while the hard surfaces were to be kept neutral and modern.

The kitchen is dark and moody, with timber elements. This was achieved with dark oak veneer cabinetry and dark quartzite island top. Plate stainless steel was chosen for the working benches in the kitchen and scullery for practicality. As the clients love to entertain it was important that the Sub- Zero fridge took centre stage, close to the island. A drinks cabinet in the tall cupboard next to the fridge and a tall wine fridge on the opposite side of the island mean everything is at hand for relaxing.

The scullery has large Space Tower pantries providing plenty storage and easy on hand ingredients for the clients baking days.

The result is a practical, easy to work in kitchen with plenty of space and designated work and entertaining areas.
